Local Search
PerfSpot is a constantly growing community with millions of members from all over the world. To better serve your needs, PerfSpot has added the ability to further refine User Search results beyond ‘Country’ to specific geographic regions within each country.

This improvement makes connecting with members in specific areas easier and more relevant. At the center of the information hub that drives this new functionality lie the ‘Region’ networks. PerfSpot utilizes the member-submitted Region network information to display members within a specific area or nearby area.

Visit the User Search section to explore this powerful addition. If you wish to be included in precise user search results, be sure to participate in the Region section of networks and add your Region.

Security Settings - Take Control
PerfSpot has gone to great lengths to provide members with not only a safe environment but to also empower users to control the accessibility of their site and content. Our team has redesigned and added new features in the Security Settings section of your site.

PerfLife Main and Extras
PerfSpot’s features are rapidly expanding to meet member needs and expectations. As more features are added, we want to maintain a site that is easy to understand and as user-friendly as possible. Your new PerfLife page has been reconfigured with improved functionality and expandability.

The “Main” section of your PerfLife contains your most dynamic features and activity reports. It includes quick links that place any section of your profile just a click away.

The “Extras” section houses additional features of your profile that demand additional space of their own. By keeping the page as organized as possible, PerfSpot’s goal is to provide a superior site to our new members, while keeping things fresh for our experienced members who have already mastered the exciting features of PerfSpot.

Grapevine 2.0
PerfSpot’s development team has just released a new version of the Grapevine with powerful new features and a much more user friendly interface.

Your PerfSpot Grapevine is a live feed that reports the various activities of your Friends (uploading pictures, joining groups, adding favorites and much more). Since it was created, the Grapevine has been an incredibly popular feature. However, because the number of Friend connections within PerfSpot has been growing so rapidly, many of our most active members had Grapevines that were becoming too overwhelming.

The first thing you will notice is your Grapevine has been condensed without losing any features. You can now view much more content in a shorter period of time. PerfSpot has added new filter options that allow you to quickly view the updates of your choice.

Don’t forget that you have complete control over not only what is piped into your Grapevine, but also what activities are broadcast out to your Friends through your Buzz. Both inbound and outbound notifications can be completely turned off or adjusted with three security settings*. The “Advanced Mode” in your Grapevine Settings section gives you complete control of the level of Friends that see your activity and allows you to moderate the level of Friends you receive updates from.

*security settings: Throughout our site PerfSpot offers four security settings giving you complete control of who can view your content. 1 - Everyone, 2 - Friends, 3 - Best Friends, 4 - Only Me.

Interest Update
The recently launched Interest Groups have become extremely popular. Interest Groups are a great way to meet likeminded people and share more about yourself with your Friends. PerfSpot has added indicators in the PerfLife section of your site that will notify you when new members have joined an Interest Group you are a part of.

Photo Update
PerfSpot has increased the number of albums displayed on your Public and Private Profiles from three to five. This change was done in an effort to keep your site as clean and content rich as possible. Up to five of your most recently created picture albums will now be displayed on your Public Profile.

Your PerfSpot URL
PerfSpot allows you to customize and build your own personal website. It’s great to have a catchy URL for your own website, so we created a new tool to give you a helping hand. In the “Personal Info” section of your site you can now change the URL of your site whenever and as often as you like. Whatever username you choose will dictate where your visitors will need to go to view your site.

Changes to your username will influence your personal join URL as well:

http://www.perfspot.com/j/[your username]

People that visit your personal join URL and become PerfSpot members will automatically be added as your friend.

Please keep in mind that changes to your username will cause your old URL to not work or possibly link to a new member that selects the old URL you have given up. All PerfSpot member URLs must be unique so we have included a “Check Availability” button to help you find an available username.
